The tram that takes people up from Old Town Dubrovnik to the top of of the mountain Srd was renovated and re-opened last year. The tram had been a major attraction before the war in Dubrovnik in 1991 and now finally guests are once again able to take the ride up the mountain and experience the spectacular view of the Old Town Dubrovnik and and the islands and the sea. There is a museum up on top that is housed in the old castle that was built by French in the 1800s. It now tells the story of the war in 1991. Also, there is a nice new restaurant and cafe where now food and and beverages are served. The restaurant is set to open in a few days and will be serving food outside on the terrace. It is well worth the price of a ticket to take the tram up to enjoy the beautiful view of all of Dubrovnik.
