Dubrovnik Weather
Dubrovnik has typical Mediterrean climate. It has four distinct seasons. Spring time is beautiful when all of the plants are blooming. The temperatures can vary from 15 to 27 degrees with occasional rain. Occasionally in April, you may see a few people swimming and sunbathing on the beach. This is also the time when all of the yellow flowers appear and cover the hills in a rich golden hue. Summer starts June 21st and the temperatures vary from low 20's to upper 30's. It can occassonally be quite humid, however, usually there is a breeze that clears the air and makes the days and nights very nice. The ocean can range from 23 to 27 degrees which makes it very attractive to all who love to enjoy water activities of all kinds. The fall is actually the favorite time of year for the local people. The temperatures are mild and the sun is warm. It is a great time to still enjoy the beach or take a leasurally walk around Dubrovnik. It is a quieter time and appeals to those who just want to enjoy the sights and sounds of the region without the crowds. The last season is winter where Dubrovnik can get a lot of rain especially in January and February. It can be quite cold and is a good time to stay inside and sit around the fire. Local people use this time to spend with family and friends cooking up wonderful winter dishes such as smoked meat and cabbage and drinking the wine that they have made during the fall. All of the seasons of Dubrovnik are quite unique and wonderful. Visitors should choose which season suits them the best and come and enjoy all that makes Dubrovnik so special.
